The ISPE Boston Product Show hits a milestone birthday this year as it turns the big 2-5. Since 1992, the show has brought together over 2,800 individuals from more than 375 companies to network and discuss industry trends. Attendees enjoy an environment full of high energy, collaboration and of course great entertainment. The show will be held 10/5 at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.
This single-day event has a robust schedule filled with discussions, demonstrations, charity events, training sessions, a job fair, and more. Although it’s the largest one-day event in the United States, the ISPE Boston Product show has been able to maintain an intimate and personal feel.
I had the chance to attend the event for the first time last year. It was a great opportunity to interact with industry professionals. I noticed that many attendees were taking the opportunity to connect with existing customers, peers, and friends while also setting aside time to network with new contacts.
As mentioned in our CPhI blog, we can’t stress enough the importance of organization and flexibility in order to best reap the benefits of the show:
Networking: Networking opportunities are a given at any event. What differs at this show is the intimate feel, allowing the perfect balance to nurture current relationships while creating new connections within the industry. While there’s a lot to do, you won’t get overwhelmed by sheer scale. There’s even a dedicated Young Professionals Networking Hour, plus many other formal and informal chances to network.
Industry Insights: From quality improvements to technical operations, cell therapy to supply chain, speakers, presenters, exhibitors will bring a gamut of insights, products and services geared to help meet production needs.
Development: You’ll gain a lot of knowledge through conversation and networking, but panels and demonstrations will give you vital context into new products, techniques, and industry trends. Over 40 companies will be represented at the Career Fair, so if you’re looking to make a job change, you’ll have a chance to get in front of recruiters. Make sure you practice your elevator pitch and get your business cards ready. For those just entering the industry, the Student Development Program will help acclimate newcomers to the industry while providing some helpful career strategies.
Venue & Entertainment: Who can forget the perks of the venue and entertainment? The Product Show is held at Gillette Stadium, home to the New England Patriots. The unique location allows you to easily hop from booth to booth and session to session while getting a birds-eye view of the field and stadium. The atmosphere lends a sleek, modern feel to the environment. For those looking to rub elbows, Rob Ninkovich of the New England Patriots will be making an appearance for autographs and photos.
