About Bruce Simpson
Bruce C. Simpson is the Director of Commercial Operations, Fisher BioServices, headquartered in Rockville, Maryland. In this role, Bruce has oversight responsibility for five commercial biorepositories located in California, Massachusetts, and Maryland, as well as a direct-to-patient pharmacy, and specialty Frozen Specimen Transportation operations.
Bruce’s training and corporate responsibilities center on biologics and specimen management, including shipping and distribution of biospecimens and cell‐based therapies. Bruce is recognized by the industry as an expert in addressing increasingly difficult cold chain challenges and protecting clinical trial materials
in transit despite extreme environments.
Prior to his work within the biosciences industry sector, Bruce had over 20+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, where he held increasingly key positions in materials, quality assurance, and manufacturing management.
Bruce graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Bethany College, Bethany, West Virginia and has a Masters of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in law from Canisius College, Buffalo, New York.
